Jerry Pate Golf Design, Inc. is pleased to offer the following professional services to transform an existing piece of land into an excellent golf property. Our design team, led by Jerry Pate, will create a golf course that enhances the natural aesthetic of the land, provides for flexibility of shot values, and remains responsible to the overall construction and maintenance budgets of the project.

ROUTING AND STRATEGY CONCEPT
Our goal in this phase is to develop an overall site plan and a cost and design study that will optimize the client’s development agenda, while providing for high-quality golf course design and maximum playability. To achieve this goal, we will work in conjunction with the client’s land use planner, engineers, clubhouse and landscape architects, hydrology consultants, and any other necessary professionals.

As we prepare the conceptual routing plans of the golf course, we will study the site’s characteristics to ensure that our design concept enhances the natural features of the property. The conceptual routing plan will also establish the safety corridors that define the golfing space within the project’s overall site plan.

The strategy plan will outline the golf course’s flexibility in shot values and its playability for all levels of golfers. This plan will outline the variety of shots required of the course by depicting the placement of the golfing features, such as greens, tees, fairways, and hazards. From this plan, we will produce a color rendering of the proposed development for presentation purposes.

Following the conceptual routing and strategy plans, we will produce a cost and design study for the golf course. The study will outline pre-construction, construction and post-construction expenditures based on a preliminary project schedule.

CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS
In this phase we will prepare all plans, specifications, and detail drawings necessary for the client to negotiate a construction contract. The conceptual construction plans include a routing and strategy plan, a clearing plan, a grading plan, a drainage plan, an irrigation plan, a grassing plan, greens plans, and location plans for bridging, abutments and other related structures.

We will also provide specifications for all aspects of golf course construction, including earthwork, rough shaping, finish shaping, drainage, irrigation, and feature construction. During the pre-construction phase, we will provide consulting services to assist the client in acquiring golf course contractors, obtaining construction price bids from these contractors, and letting of contracts and their terms. We will also provide consultation regarding the location and design of the clubhouse, maintenance building, parking lots and other golf-related facilities.

CONSTRUCTION CONSULTATION
During construction, we will make regular on-site visits to coordinate the implementation of the construction drawings. These visits will allow us to make field adjustments as deemed necessary to preserve the natural aesthetics of the site. We will strive to integrate specimen trees and natural topographical features and to improve on the intentions and guidelines set out in the construction drawings. These adjustments will be made during all phases of the construction process. After each site visit, we will document these improvements on schematic drawings and sketches and distribute the updated drawings to the client and golf course contractor.

PROMOTION
We will work with the client to arrange promotional appearances by Jerry Pate throughout the golf course project. Jerry will appear at the grand opening of the course to play an exhibition round and conduct media interviews. Jerry will make available to the client his name and likeness for use in advertising and promotional material to publicize the golf course as a Jerry Pate design.
